An unusual pseudomorph of Smithsonite after Dolomite formed on a Dolomite cast. Smithsonite replaced crystals of Dolomite in a stepped growth habit measuring to 2.3cm sits atop a rounded cast of Dolomite. The underside of the specimen shows the once hollow cast now almost completely filled by inter grown replaced Dolomite crystals. A sparkling white crystal druse of saddle shaped micro-crystals of Dolomite covers the specimen, from the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia.
