Rhombic, intensely deep purple cerise-pink Dolomite crystals to over 1 cm coat the entire upper face of a flat Quartz matrix from the Kakanda deposit in the Kambove District of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Small saddle-shaped rosettes of translucent milky white Dolomite are sparsely scattered along one side of the display surface. Cobaltoan Dolomite from this famous mining district is highly sought and this is a stunning miniature example.
