The La Morita mine lies in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico, only about 150 km south of the border with New Mexico. The mine works a hydrothermal Baryte vein and since about 2019 has produced some fabulous specimens of Wulfenite. This beautiful large thumbnail has several thin square tabular Wulfenite crystals perched on a small matrix and surrounded by micro spheres of pale lemon Mimetite. The largest Wulfenite crystals measure 1.3 and 1.4 cm on edge and all are gemmy acid yellow with bevelled edges which appear slightly orange due to the interaction of incident light.
