Tucson, Arizona, USAThis fabulous Jackstraw Cerussite is from South mine at Broken Hill, Australia and worth every penny at $1500. The variety 'Jackstraw' is the acicular habit of Cerussite and good specimens from the Broken Hill mines are very seldom seen nowadays. A typical, highly metamorphosed matrix is almost entirely covered with thick, superb light creamy-tan, Jackstraw crystals of between 1 and 3.5 cm long, all with perfect terminations and highly aesthetic. The reverse side is equally displayable with this face dominated by two magnificent 6.5 x 6 cm interpenetrant X-shaped Cerussite crystals . This will make a wonderful addition to many a Broken Hill suite.
