Mottramite

A fine cabinet display specimen of dark grey to black, coral-like Mottramite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Over much of the specimen the Mottramite has a velvety texture due to its micro-crystalline nature with a resultant matt to satin lustre. In an odd tiny patch beneath the specimen, a green Mottramite interior is revealed. On the base Mottramite forms a sparkling druse of micro-crystals with a glossy and shimmering lustre. A magnificent Tsumeb Mottramite of intensely dark colour.
