Crystal ClassicsFeatured
Tucson, Arizona, USAAn aesthetic group of five scalenohedral Calcite crystals to 5.5 cm tall, the outer shells of which have been pseudomorphed to Dolomite, in the form of typical saddle-shaped crystals. This rare and unusual pseudomorph is from Niederschlema in the Schlema-Hartenstein District of Saxony. It is made all the more attractive by an overgrowth of lustrous black metallic Hematite then dusted by a second generation of lustrous micro-crystals of Dolomite, partly stained brick-red with Hematite. A classic pseudomorph from Saxony.
