A really great cluster of vertically aligned scalenohedral Calcite crystals with an orientated overgrowth of Pyrite micro-crystals, these covering just one face of each Calcite crystal. The individual Calcite crystals are typically 3 to 5 cm tall with their faces built from micro nail head crystals which glisten wonderfully. Within its sparkling exterior, the Calcite suggests an underlying reddish interior that gives the Pyrite a suggestion of greenish hues. This remarkable combination of colour and habit lends a fir tree-like appearance to this remarkable specimen from P?'bram in the Czech Republic.
