Tucson, Arizona, USAThe Taquaral area in Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil is famous for its phosphate-rich pegmatites, from which many new species have been discovered and named. It has also furnished many of the finest aesthetic examples of rarer phosphates too, one of which is Eosphorite, a manganese aluminium phosphate. This super, small cabinet-sized display specimen features lovely radiating, fan-like sprays of well-formed clustered lustrous deep cinnamon-brown bladed Eosphorite crystals upon and contrasting nicely with a white matrix of to Rose Quartz coated with intergrown balls of white 'Zanazziite'. The 'Zanazziite' balls have been largely replaced by an undefined white mineral. A really fine showy display specimen of Eosphorite.
