A pretty thumbnail specimen of dark leaf green crystalline Malachite forming a ball to 8 mm in diameter on gemmy clear intergrown crystals of Calcite. From the Tsumeb mine in Namibia, the Malachite forms as acicular crystals in a three dimensional radial sphere. The Calcite crystals are equant, implying they all have faces and edges of similar size. A lovely Tsumeb Malachite thumbnail.
