A fine, good-size thumbnail, richly displaying two classic silver sulphosalts, Stephanite and Proustite, from the Schlema-Hartenstein mining district in Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. A small creamy Calcite/Siderite matrix is almost entirely covered in granular, crimson tinged grey-silver Proustite containing embedded blocky Stephanite crystals of silvery-gunmetal, many with characteristic striated faces. A terrific thumbnail specimen of these two uncommon silver species.
