A domed mound of overlapping, squat, nail-head Calcite crystals ranging from around 1.2 to 3.0 cm in diameter, but of relatively shallow thickness, from Str'bro in the Plzen Region of the Czech Republic. The translucent fawn-beige crystals form saucer-like hexagonal crystals, with alternating broad and narrow faces and a three-fold Mercedes star termination. The Calcite crystals towards one side are preferentially coated with micro-crystalline Natrolite of a greyish-cream hue. A lovely Calcite from Str'bro with a true waxy lustre accompanied with Natrolite, a zeolite group member.
