A superb and rare, ex-matrix specimen of a Galena Gonderbach twin from Nassau, Rhein-Lahn-Kreis, Rhineland-Palatinate. The dull lead-grey Galena takes the habit of a flattened, 4 mm thick Galena cube with octahedral modifications and twinning, termed 'Gonderbach twinned' after the Gonderbach mine in North Rhine-Westphalia. The crystal has good crystal definition, showing both re-entrant and normal prism faces. An interesting and unusual twinned Galena from Nassau.
