A beautiful colourless, water-clear transparent Calcite crystal with two smaller attached crystals in parallel growth from Pallaflat mine at Bigrigg, Egremont, Cumbria. The crystals occur as complexly modified scalenohedrons and although not on matrix, have a thin layer of Hematite over their common base. The primary crystal measures 5.5 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm and is stunning due to its ice-clear transparency and perfectly developed faces. A superb Calcite group from Pallaflat mine.
