This fine miniature specimen from Mashamba West mine in the DR Congo features an excellent, sharp, 1.6 cm octahedral Cuprite crystal on a small piece of matrix. The crystal is a really good size for this species and displays a deep blood red which is enhanced with backlighting. The crystal is undamaged and shows twinning on its lower side. It stands aesthetically upon its matrix, mounted on a small acrylic block for display. A great Cuprite miniature that would look great in a display of crystal form, or even in a systematic collection using miniature specimens.
