Cassiterite
A particularly fine, rich sparkling micro-crystalline druse of intensely dark green Pseudomalachite covers an earlier deposition of botryoidal emerald to peppermint green Pseudomalachite. This excellent small cabinet specimen is from the highly regarded German location of the Silberbrünnle mine, close to Gengenbach in the Black Forest. The dark green Pseudomalachite forms botryoidal mounds within a shallow cavity over one side of a ferruginous Quartz-rich matrix. Collecting on the old mine dumps can still turn-up Pseudomalachite specimens but I very much doubt anything of this quality would now be unearthed. This is an outstanding and excellent Pseudomalachite from the Silberbrünnle mine which will grace any fine private or museum mineral collection.\n
