Tucson, Arizona, USAMimetites are always very desirable from the Tsumeb mine and this is a great example originating from the 1980's find with splendid canary yellow lustrous Mimetite crystals emerging from a pervasive crust of Quartz crystals all over the sulphide matrix. This good-sized cabinet specimen will display well, as much for its Quartz crystals as its Mimetite. Although Quartz was ubiquitous throughout Tsumeb and the surrounding country rock, well crystallised quartz was reasonably uncommon.
