Crisp, prismatic hexagonal crystals of semi-transparent fawn Calcite make for a delightful miniature from the P?'bram mining district in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Many crystals are quite gemmy; can develop to 1 cm long by 0.6 cm broad and some are double terminated, depending on their orientation on the specimen. The hexagonal form varies between equant to alternating long and short faces and all have a flat pinacoid termination, often with the tip changing to milky-white. A great Calcite with quite fascinating crystal morphology.
