A gemmy lustrous colourless classic butterfly-twin (also known as a Heart-shaped Twin) Calcite measuring to 5.3 cm across. These famous Cumbrian twins are becoming increasingly rare to find from old collections, with most having been collected during the late 19th century. The crystal displays a tabular habit with the twin contact seen down the central area, with a small amount of reddish Hematite associated with the natural matrix contact. From the Egremont area of the West Cumbrian Iron Mining District.
