A fine, somewhat stalactitic formation of botryoidal Aragonite of intense duck egg to sky blue grading to translucent white. From the area around Brixlegg in the Austrian Tyrol, the specimen displays a central blue Aragonite stalactite of approximately 8 cm long flanked on either side by botryoidal blue and translucent white Aragonite. Given Brixlegg is a relatively small mining district, it is richly mineralised with almost 170 recorded species. The underlying matrix is a creamy tan, cryptocrystalline Dolomite. A beautiful large cabinet specimen from Brixlegg in Austria.
