Wulfenite
This fabulous miniature Wulfenite is from the La Morita mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, an old Baryte mine which from 2018 has produced many amazing Wulfenites which have become world-recognised for their quality and aesthetics. An approximately 6.5 x 4 cm lozenge-shaped cluster of tightly intergrown, lemon-tinted butterscotch toffee tabular crystals with bevelled edges and a mirror-like lustre comprise this most charming group. As is sometimes observed on Wulfenites from this mine, the underside of the crystals have a preferential dusting of a slightly orange-lemon coating, possibly a surface alteration. The tabular crystals measure up to 2.5 cm on edge and together make a show-stopping specimen!
