Excellent, colour zoned, burnt toffee-orange to caramel-brown Wulfenite crystals from the classic the Erupción mine in the Los Lamentos mountains of Mexico. Characteristic blocky, broad tabular crystals of lustrous Wulfenite measuring to over 1 cm are tightly intergrown over a snow-white matrix of fine-grained Calcite. The Wulfenite crystals are best described as thick and chunky, often about half as thick as they are long. A choice miniature from the Erupción mine in Mexico and a fine addition to a Wulfenite or Mexican collection. Ex Peter Rosewarne Collection.
