Colourless, transparent rhombic Calcite crystals stack to form a glassy rib hiding a base of opaque milky Calcite from Tsumeb. Red staining, due to the presence of iron, taints the base and gives the inner core of the transparent crystals a delicate pink glow. A beautiful miniature Calcite with highly lustrous crystals, many of which display attractive bevelled edges on the rhombohedral form.
