A classic Lavrion specimen of Smithsonite from the Hilarion Mine, Greece. The specimen we have is very clean, with excellent botryoidal formations on a characteristic Goethite/Gossan matrix. A fine silky bright lustre is seen to the Smithsonite, with a pleasing translucency. A great specimen of Smithsonite from this ancient Athenian mining area on the Adriatic coast.
