Translucent white Calcite crystals with a silky lustre are perched prettily on gemmy, deep purple twinned Fluorite crystals. The Calcite crystals are well formed flattened rhombohedrons, measuring to 2.0 cm wide and attractively intergrown. The Fluorite crystals measure to 2.3 cm and contain multi-layered zoning together with darker purple phantoms, all with a good lustre. This is a most handsome miniature zoned Fluorite with Calcite from the Weardale mining district.
