A superbly formed, and very old 3 cm tall single crystal of colourless Topaz from from Borschtschowotschnoi near nr. Nerchinsk, Russia. Ex Simone and Peter Huber collection (no. 595) and accompanied by a very old handwritten label, possibly dating to the 19th century. The crystal contains inclusions but is still extremely gemmy and has far more terminal crystal faces than usually seen in Topaz. A beautiful miniature Topaz.
