Excellent, cubic, colourless Fluorite crystals are underlain by Fluorite of a subtle pastel rose pink, forming interpenetrant twins to 1.8 cm. From Cambokeels mine, between the villages of Westgate and Eastgate in Weardale, the abundantly intergrown Fluorite crystals cover a white Quartz crystal matrix. A later druse of micro-crystallised Quartz dusts some of the pastel purple Fluorite and scarce, 1 to 2 mm brassy Chalcopyrite crystals add to the aesthetic. The larger Fluorite twins are transparent to gemmy and fluoresce reasonably bight purple under LWUV. The smaller Fluorite crystals are a much duller lilac-purple in longwave. A most attractive subtle pink Fluorite, dusted with Chalcopyrite and drusy Quartz from Cambokeels.\n
