NATIVE Gold in Quartz$400.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Hackly Native Gold forms a rich, 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm, porous mass perched nicely on an angular matrix of Milky Quartz veinstone with overgrowths of brown Limonite. The only locality information is Canada, but this piece is from the collection of the famous English polymath, John Ruskin (1819-1900) and so presumably came from the newly established country of Canada. It might be possible, with a knowledge of the early history of gold mining in Canada, to narrow down its provenance. It is, nevertheless, a nice rich example of reasonably pure Native Gold, apparent by its rich metallic golden colour.
