A beast of a specimen from the iron mines of west Cumbria, but a beautiful beast I hasten to add! Hematite of the variety Pencil Ore forms a 15 cm long tapering wedge with four distinct faces of graphite grey Hematite with a part coating film of brick-red Hematite. An excellent and very reasonably priced specimen.
