Two joined, ex-matrix Aragonite crystals grade from opaque milky-white above their bases to glassy, colourless tinged milky-white translucent upper halves and terminations. From 'pania Dolina in Bansk' Bystrica County, Slovakia, the Aragonite forms pseudohexagonal crystals, the largest measuring 4.5 x 3.5 x 3.4 cm, with some prism faces having vertical furrows which give a stellate appearance to the flat pinacoid termination.
