A stunning specimen of the rare calcium-cerium carbonate fluoride Synchysite-(Ce) from Pizzo Bandiera in the Mount Cervandone area in Piedmont, Italy, with a strongly foliated, black speckled cream-white matrix of gneiss of the Monte Leone nappe. A very fine example of this relatively rare mineral species.
