Bright metallic yellow leaf and crystallized Native Gold on Quartz from the Roata Mine, Cavnic, Romania. Native Gold measuring to 1.1cm is seen over several areas of the display side of the Quartz matrix. Forming intergrown leaf-sheets and Native Gold crystals developed from the leaves. Tiny grey-black crystals of Arsenopyrite are associated with the Native Gold, with thin areas of pink-light brown remnants of Calcite on the Quartz. On the underside of the specimen are crystals of Pyrite associated with Arsenopyrite.
