A splendid small cabinet specimen of Calcite from the Herja mine in Maramure? County, Romania. Lustrous, milky white to colourless, pseudohexagonal Calcite crystals are grouped over the specimen forming petal-like cylindrical rosettes. These are stacked on edge with concave faces on an apricot tan Limonite and black metallic Sphalerite matrix. Yet another pleasingly different crystal form of Calcite.
