A beautiful Pyromorphite on milky Quartz from the classic mine in Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture, China. It is very rare to see Pyromorphite from this mine on Quartz and the contrast between the white matrix and neon acidic lime-green Pyromorphite is stunning. The curved rib of Quartz sits vertically and is encrusted with Pyromorphite crystals ranging from a few mm to around 2.0 x 1.4 x 1.0 cm. The numerous larger crystals all have complex hexagonal hopper terminations. A superb example of Pyromorphite from the Daoping mine with a rare Quartz matrix.
