Tucson, Arizona, USAClassic specimen of Blackdene Mine Fluorite collected in the late 1970s, very early 80s. The specimen has a cascade like arrangement of sharp cubic crystals to 7cm on edge. Very lustrous with a great purple colour, edges of the crystals are gemmy with characteristic translucent to opaque central areas. The specimen displays a white Fluorite core with one edges also showing crystals of Fluorite Calcite and Galena. A druse of translucent white Calcite preferentially covers some faces of the cubic Fluorite crystals. An excellent large cabinet specimen from the mine.
