An excellent, divergent open display of Aragonite coated by Calcite, from the Broken Hill Mines in New South Wales, Australia. The Aragonite forms prismatic crystals to around 2 cm tall over which micro-crystallised druses of white Calcite have been deposited. The Calcite has a beautiful silky lustre which gives a smooth rounded appearance to this lovely cabinet specimen.
