This terrific small miniature of Wulfenite with Mimetite is well priced at $250 and is a lovely example from the famous San Francisco mine at Cerro Prieto, Sonora, Mexico. Thick tabular Wulfenite crystals of vibrant glassy apricot encrust a blocky, brecciated gossan matrix of carmine brick red and off-white. Scattered over the matrix and encroaching on some Wulfenite crystals are pinhead-size rosettes of similar coloured Mimetite which form individual spherical clusters. The largest Wulfenite crystal measures 1.3 x 1.0 x 0.3 cm. The specimen is mounted on a bevelled clear acrylic base.
