Tucson, Arizona, USAAnglesite is one of the most well-known minerals from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia and typical of the species can form many varied habits, not all readily recognisable as Anglesite, however, there is no doubting what this fine miniature is. Composed of either one large beautifully developed crystal bifurcating into two parallel terminations or two individual crystal merging into one another, this main crystal group measures 4 cm tall and almost 3.5 cm wide at its base. Projecting forward from a prism face of the largest crystal is another sharply crystallised Anglesite with razor-sharp edges and a pointed termination. All the crystals are opaque milky-white with a variable coating of a black, sooty mineral which serves to add contrast so enhancing surface textures and crystal structure. An excellent example of well crystallised Anglesite from Tsumeb.
