A classic, old-time, butterfly-twinned calcite crystal from a very uncommon English locale - Eyam in Derbyshire. This lustrous, translucent specimen has classic form. The top edge and one edge are pristine. The other, contacted edge has the specimen number on it. Very fine and highly representative material. Certainly around 100 years old or older. Comes with an expertly handwritten, faded label from an older collection. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
