Prehnite from the Park is often dull, and the luster on these few old specimens is simply another planet from what you normally see from here. Combined with the unusual yellow-green color, they look more like awesome smithsonites from Berg Aukas, than prehnite from a US locale. They are simply more pretty, to my eye, than most other prehnites I have seen from here. From the collection of Fred Vlamnyck, circa 1970's. Joe Budd photos.
