An intense, almost neon pink, cluster of large Cobaltoan Calcite crystals from a not-so-well-known locality, but it happens to be one of the largest copper-cobalt mines in the Zambian Copperbelt. This mine has produces nice secondary cobalt and copper minerals during its many years of operation. This miniature is comprised entirely of Cobaltoan Calcite and looks like a piece of luscious crystalline candy! The large crystals on this piece are complex scalenohedrons with good luster. The photos speak for themselves but still don't do it complete justice. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. The form is slightly different, and the color honestly MORE saturated, than the best of Mashamba West - it looks the same at first, but is not. We purchased this from a former mine geologist who kept a personal collection of minerals from this mine over decades, and sold it off a few years ago in privacy. This IS from this strange locality, and is a one-off on the market.
