Glassy, lustrous, single, 3.2 cm-tall Anglesite crystal from this historic lead-zinc mine in Sardinia, Italy with good provenance! The top half of this Anglesite crystal is totally gem with only a trace of veiled inclusions and the bottom half of the crystal is included with abundant, fine Galena that served as the matrix for the crystal. Crystal faces and edges are sharp and the dominant prism faces display fine, horizontal striations that add character to the crystal. An exceptional old-time specimen from a classic locality. Ex. Kay Robertson, Adolfo Campi and University of Florence collections, all with labels, as well as a Schortmann's Minerals label. Kay acquired it in 1976.
