Transparent lustrous gemmy single crystal from one of the finest and most important pockets ever found, from what is in fact generally considered the world's best of species locality. Collected in 2003 by Marco Amabili on site, this was the thumbnail example kept in his own collection (Amabili surely assembled the finest overall collection of Jeffrey minerals of size and value, as featured in the September 2019 issue of Rocks & Minerals magazine. This color is neon green, due to chromium, and is unique to this locality. This is most likely, in our opinion (and Alex's) the finest possible thumbnail example from the most intensely colored pocket known to have been found. The color in this, as in the photos, is real. It is a fundamentally different and more saturated color than others which you may have seen or been familiar with - more similar in color to a tsavorite garnet, in fact.
