Cavradi Hematites are a classic, treasured by the strahlers who find them in alpine mountain clefts. This is a superb small cabinet piece of excellent quality. It features a three-dimensional cluster of several Hematite crystals with a prominent 3.6cm crystal, free-standing and fully exposed, on contrasting tan quartzite matrix. There are a half dozen crystals on the front in random to sub-parallel growth and then several Hematite crystals on the backside. All of the Hematite blades have nicely beveled terminations and a few of the crystals are accented by small, bright red-brown Rutile crystals which grow on the surface and serve to highlight the incredible metallic luster of the Hematite. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. This is an absolute classic, in excellent presentation quality and a good size/price range for many people. Few display so "proudly" and cleanly as this one, without repairs. An old specimen, ex Richard Kosnar collection. Hard to beat in this size, for a nonrepaired example on matrix at a fair price.
