A translucent to transparent, orange-red, 2.3 cm wulfenite crystal surmounts a shard of gossan matrix accompanied by several other smaller wulfenite crystals. The main crystal is outstanding at 1.7 x 1.7 x 0.3 cm. It has more gemminess and a different style than one normally sees in wulfenite crystals from China as this is almost reminiscent of Red Cloud wulfenite. The brown-black limonite matrix allows the wulfenite crystals to exhibit their form and color in a very distinct manner. It is in very good condition save a few bits of ingrown matrix as the only possible criticism. These were found in limited quantities in 2016 and are very rare on the market. This is a fine specimen with unusually sculptural and attractive matrix that is also well crystallized and interesting in person!
