Copper (twinned)
These Chino coppers, dug up in a lucky erratic vein of copper by Stan Esbenshade many years ago (early 2000's if I recall), remain one of the great classic Copper finds of the Southwest. They formed as a floating mass amidst all of the disseminated copper in host rock, and I think everybody was shocked to see such things come onto the market. While there were many, at the time, such a fine thumbnail as this would have been and remains a rarity for its balance and composition. Sharp, Spinel twin with good color and luster, complete all around - just a prototypical representative of this very important copper find, so immediately recognizable from all others. Ex Tom Moore Collection (and he purchased it at the time they came out), to Jim Houran's Collection. A complete Floater, 360 degrees !
