A brilliantly lustrous cluster of fiery orange mimetite crystals to 5 mm from the best finds at the Pingtouling mine around 2003-2004. Scintillating mimetites richly cover the matrix and crystals range in color from bright fiery orange to smoky orange creating a sensational variegation of color. Crystals are in excellent condition with only minor contacting around the periphery. A spectacular and colorful specimen from a defunct locality - these specimens, in this size, have not been seen in over a decade. This comes from the old stash of a collector friend. Displays well on a custom engraved acrylic base. Sparkly, and with top luster, this is not only a Chinese classic but a superb example of the species. Much more 3-dimensional in person.
