Ojuela Mine is certainly the most famous overall, and most diverse, mineral locality in Mexico - and very collectible. We have handled thousands of Ojuela specimens and still get surprised, given the depths of the history and production here. A fascinating combination of translucent dark butterscotch wulfenite crystals with calcite. This specimen, with the old label from Charlie Key (1960s), is one of the oldest documented Ojuela wulfenite specimens we have seen. It is also a very different style than anything modern which has come out in pockets from the 1980s and onward. It is aesthetic and sparkling, with a glistening association of small calcite crystals on wulfenite - itself a quite rare association. Display sized.
