Blue Halite from this amazing discovery, a series of small pockets collected over several years and now completely inaccessible, is widely considered to be the best of species for Halite. They are sharp, gemmy, blue cubes with amazing symmetry, and they are unusually color and temperature stable, as well. Long articles on this discovery, and how important it is, are published elsewhere. At their best, the shocking symmetry makes them look like jewels. This is one of the finest known thumbnails from the discovery, in our opinion, and was long in the collection of the collector, Phil Simmons, and then of Kyle Kevorkian. Never shown or for sale publicly. This perfect cube has edges of 1.7 cm.
