Brazilianite (type locality and find, 1940s)$1,800.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Perhaps THE most classic of all Brazilian non-tourmaline minerals, one of those "Holy Grail" items for most collectors, is a Brazilianite from the type locality finds of the 1940s. Most of these were brought out by the legendary Peter Bancroft, Ed Swoboda, and Fred Pough at the time, even as the new species was identified. The color, crystal shape, and look of these make them readily identifiable - and they remain to this day, 80 years later, unique. This is a large thumbnail specimen with exceptional color and gemminess. It is perfect and undamaged on the display faces. What looks like a ding in the tip is just an internal reflection caught by the camera. It is quite complete and, in person, very beautiful.
