Mimetite on Wulfenite
Alex Schauss loved Arizona minerals, and he helped collect and work the Rowley Mine over several years around 2010-2015. He was proud of his suite of thumbnail specimens from the mine, showing a range of habits and styles, all of which he self-collected (including this). This is a gorgeous, full thumbnail from one special find where rich and unusual red-orange bubbles of Mimetite growth cover or drape over a sharp Wulfenite. Truly unique and visually mesmerizing because it is sharp and bubbly at the same time!
